Choosing a clinic involves practical questions about access, communication and costs. This checklist helps you compare options for your family without treating an unverified “best” list as a medical recommendation.

Build a shortlist you can use

Start with the Singapore Baby Directory and follow the provider's official website. Note the exact branch, address and booking method. Consider the journey from home or infant care, especially if another caregiver will attend appointments.

Questions to ask before booking

• Does the clinician see babies of our child's age and handle the concern we want to discuss?
• What is the next available appointment, and what happens if we need to cancel?
• Are evening or weekend appointments available at this specific branch?
• What are the arrangements for follow-up questions and care outside opening hours?
• Do we need a referral or any records before the appointment?

Get a clear estimate of charges

Ask for the consultation charge and whether it includes tax. Check which additional charges might apply, such as medicines, tests or procedures. If using insurance, ask both the clinic and insurer about coverage and payment arrangements. For public services, confirm the applicable referral route and subsidy eligibility directly; a general online price table cannot determine your bill.

Prepare for the first visit
